📣 HUGE peptide news! 🎉
Peptides are friends!
If you’ve been in my world for a minute, you know how much
I LOVE PEPTIDES!!
I follow the field and science closely, and have for many years - well before they exploded in popularity a few years ago!
(And NO I’m not just talking about Glp-1s -> there are many therapeutic peptides!)
I’m currently completing my full peptides certification so I can deepen my knowledge and officially offer you full-spectrum peptide support! YAY!
Why? Because peptides are truly amazing, natural medicine.
[If you don’t know what peptides are and how they can support health, please SCROLL DOWN below the announcements here to learn more. Podcast episode coming up too!]
2 BIG peptide announcements:
1. FDA Peptide Reclassification Feb 27 2026 -> SEE MY IG POST!
HHS Secretary RFK Jr. announced (on the sly on a podcast!) that approximately 14 of 19 restricted peptides of incredible therapeutic benefit will return to LEGAL compounding status, probably in the next few weeks! Peptides affected include most of the big hitters people are loving today: BPC-157, Thymosin Alpha-1, CJC-1295, Selank, Semax, KPV, MOTS-C, GHK-Cu, and others.-> More deets.
2. With this announcement (and greater legitimacy for peptides in North America),I’m incorporating peptides into my Better Beyond 40 Formula program! YAY!
I’m also considering offering a limited number of hourly peptide consultations to the general public on a weekly basis.
If you’re interested in joining the Better Beyond 40 Formula or getting a personal peptide consult, please let me know by replying here to get on the waitlist. 🙂
….
What are peptides?
"Peptide" is just a fancy term for a small protein.
Peptides are natural 'master regulators' of the body, many of which are essential for life. Your body produces hundreds of them in varying amounts according to your biological needs and age. Well known examples are insulin, oxytocin and growth hormone.
These wonderful little molecules are naturally produced by our bodies and can be leveraged as powerful medicine for incredible outcomes…and IMHO, they should be!
Why take peptides?
Like many naturally-occurring molecules our bodies produces to support our health, we make LOTS of them when we’re younger but production drops off with age.
(Like hormones, you say? Ya, just like hormones.)
But, we can reintroduce them to the body later in life and the body knows what to do with them and they have the same amazing benefits.
How can peptides help us?
Peptides can slow, stop or even reverse many conditions that traditional Western Medicine cannot, such as traumatic brain injury, neuropathic pain, dementia, cardiovascular disease and Crohn's.
They can also massively accelerate healing from injuries, help reinstate healthy sleep, boost energy and hormones, and support healthy weight loss in those who have struggled for many years.
Remarkably, some peptides have even shown reversal of cellular aging in humans and animals.
For this reason, many longevity experts, biohackers and health optimizers are also using them as anti-aging medicine and for performance enhancement and aesthetic purposes...and at relatively little cost compared to other elective therapies.
They're big in European medicine, and have been for a while...but we lag behind in North America, largely due to the dominance of Big Pharma.
(Being natural, peptides aren't patentable unless a slight change is made to their structure, as is the case for Glp-1s...now the world's most popular peptides - scientists figured out a way to slightly modify their structure so they persist longer in the blood stream, making them patentable. And now Big Pharma can profit on them so they’re everywhere.)
When I started using various peptides myself over 7 years ago, I noticed significant improvements in various aspects of my health, despite already being very healthy.
I love and use a variety of peptides in my practice: BPC-157, TB-500, GHK, Thymosin alpha-1, CJC-1295 + Ipamorellin, Epitalon, the Glp-1s and others.
Are peptides safe?
They are very safe IF they are:
1. used properly and appropriately, and
2. acquired from a reputable source.
So YES, when used responsibly, they are safe.
Sadly, there’s a lot of conjecture floating around the internet and the media - even from reputable sources - raising scare tactics right now - “the dangers of peptides”...but frankly, most of the scary around peptides is about sourcing, not the peptides themselves.
Remember that new things are often marred in scare tactics before they become widely accepted, and sometimes even indispensable…like hormone replacement therapy and Glp1s, both of which are now commonplace and helping millions of people. 🙃
That said, sourcing is VERY SERIOUS BUSINESS and you should NEVER EVER take a peptide from a random website or a source you don’t fully trust. Too many shady companies have popped up that make their stuff on the cheap and the products are impure. NOT what you want in your body, especially since many peptides are injectable - they go directly into the blood stream rather than the liver for detoxification.
How do people legitimately access peptides or start a course of supervised peptide therapy?
This is the tricky part.
Peptides are a legal “gray area” for physicians & other providers.
Doctors / nurses / physios / anyone in conventional schools in North America is NOT taught about peptides in school or through their colleges.
There is also no universal legal requirement that they hold a separate “peptide certification” to prescribe peptides, though training is strongly recommended and prescribing peptides can attract strict discipline from their Colleges.
Prescribing unapproved peptides without adequate training could lead to big trouble if something goes wrong for the clinician. Most providers I know are not willing to take the risk.
With their rising popularity, many health professionals have now heard of peptides, but what they know is based on Google searches and Reddit Forums.
Several doctors, naturopaths and sports medicine practitioners I know personally (who understand what I do and my background) trust me to work with their patients, so they refer to me directly.
Some providers are willing to support their patients/clients “under the radar” so to speak - they will take the risk because they know how powerful and effective they are…but it’s not common. (You can ask but you shouldn’t expect a yes.)
Peptides are more commonly used in Functional and Integrative Medicine spaces, but still not part of their med school programs.
Unfortunately, if you find a provider who works with peptides, they are likely going to be expensive. (VERY expensive, for both the fees and peptides.)
This is part of why I’m rolling peptides into my Better Beyond 40 Formula program, and why I’m considering offering a limited number of 1-off peptide consultations on my calendar…from reputable sources at much more reasonable prices than any clinic I know.
If you’re interested in either, please let me know.

Mary
